The devastating images of the impact of Hurricane Helene give us pause to pray for those still in harms way and needing relief.
This Sunday we will receive a door offering that will be directed to LCMS agencies responding directly in the areas impacted.
Here is a link to Orphan Grain Train, an LCMS organization that specializes in disaster relief logistics. You can give with confidence to this organization. There is a link on their site for donations and one to Thrivent where contributions will be matched at 50% (make $2 become $3).
The hygiene kits being assembled by the LWML are distributed though Orphan Grain Train and similar groups. Please also support the LWML in their efforts.
